23 January. James Collins, Anke Harris-Collins and Maša Perović met the Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism, Mr Danilo Gvozdenović. Mr Gvozdenović is responsible for Construction and proposed that the GBC arrange a joint conference with the Chamber of Engineers on sustainability and the GBC’s training programme.
19 February. Maša Perović met the Dean of the Faculty of Polytechnics at the University of Donja Gorica Prof Dr Sanja Ivanović to discuss cooperation on our training programme.
03-05 April. The GBC exhibited at the 20th annual Eco-Fair on the Adriatic Fairs site in Budva. We held a Workshop to promote the LEGEND project on 04 April, led by the Italian expert for the project, Dr Francesco Tinti.
08-09 May. James Collins, Anke Harris-Collins, Maša Perović and Darka Kostić attended the regular LEGEND Coordinating Committee meeting for the LEGEND project, this time held in Banja Luka.
15-17 May. James Collins, Anke Harris-Collins, Saša Cvetković, Maša Perović and Darka Kostić attended the Green Culture Conference in Tivat, organised by a British NGO with the help of the British Council. The NGO works to link the Creative Industries with sustainability. James Collins presented the LEGEND project; Anke Harris-Collins presented the Risan Eco-House project and Saša Cvetković presented the EKOFest Herceg Novi. There were a number of most interesting people present, including Prof Dr Čedo Maksimović of Imperial College, London, an expert in urban water systems. HRH Prince Nikola Petrovic Njegoš was also present.
07 June. James Collins and Prof Dr Dušan Vuksanović met the President of the Chamber of Engineers Prof Dr Branislav Glavatović. The result was agreement to hold a joint workshop in September on Ground Coupled Heat Pumps.
16 September. At a ceremony in Podgorica, on behalf of the GBC, James Collins received the Montenegrin Ozone Award for 2014 which was given to the GBC by the Environmental Protection Agency for our contribution to reduction of ozone gasses.
16 September. James Collins and Anke Harris-Collins represented the GBC at a meeting organised by the British Ambassador with the Minister for Sustainable Development and Tourism, HE Branimir Gvozdenović, at the Ministry in Podgorica. The topic was Foreign Inward Investment in Montenegro, and the GBC put two questions to the Minister on sustainability and training.
22 to 26 September. World GBC-coordinated Green Building Week. Our main contribution was a second Workshop on the LEGEND project, again led by Dr Francesco Tinti, held on 25 September. The Workshop was held during the26th annual Engineering Fair in Budva. The Chamber of Engineers promoted the conference to their members as part of our agreement on cooperation between our two organisations.
24 September. . James Collins, Anke Harris-Collins, Maša Perović and Žarko Krčunović attended the regular LEGEND Coordinating Committee meeting for the LEGEND project in Danilovgrad.
24 to 28 September. 26th annual Engineering Fair in Budva. Maša Perović and Zoran Djokić organised our stand, with help from some student members.
27 October. Milovan Novaković represented the GBC at a World GBC European Regional meeting in Barcelona, Spain. His attendance was made possible due to a grant from the World GBC to help towards his costs. The meeting was extremely useful, both in terms of contacts made and in terms of ideas for generating income streams. Work on the latter has started.
12 December. Maša Perović and Zoran Djokić attended the final LEGEND conference in Ferrara, Italy.
